A Company Built on over 60 Years of Experience

Mango Copper was born when it acquired the assets and intellectual property of the former Wolverine Tube Plant. At start-up, Mango Copper therefore owned all product data, routings, drawings and tools that existed in the original facility, and then undertook a comprehensive infrastructure repair and restoration initiative to optimize and re-organize the plant into a lean manufacturing environment. Since the bulk of  Wolverine Tube’s former employees returned to work for Mango Copper, we have emerged as a young company already holding over 60 years of experience.

Renewal with a Purpose

Through our collective efforts, we breathed life back into a factory, restoring all systems to pristine condition prior to start-up. We re-inspected and re-vamped all machinery. We did all of this with purpose, as we invested in rebuilding our infrastructure to ensure reliability in our deliveries.

After six months of inspecting, repairing or replacing necessary infrastructure and machinery, we were ready to open our doors. We did this with pride in April of 2009. We put our infrastructure and machinery to task, working it as hard as we would for real customer orders. We tested its reliability, its quality, its output and its functionality. We synergized our workforce around the new culture they had collectively created and allowed our innovative management philosophies to take root and flourish. We did this as well, with purpose.

We have stability in our workforce with a six-year labour contract in place. We have reliability in our infrastructure and operations knowing that we can guarantee lead times.
